Charting for increased business insight in Excel
FluenceXL’s Dynamic Charts help users rapidly and easily create best-practice visually effective charts to provide viewers a deeper understanding of the data more quickly. Drawing on the best-practice visualization approach of IBCS (International Business Communications Standards), our chart library helps communicate key business trends and comparisons clearly, effectively and professionally.
Charts connect directly to corporate data and can be further explored as required by drilling to a ‘Small Multiple’ view of the contributing categories, or zooming to specific areas of interest. Reports and responsive dashboards are built in Excel with a one-click Web and Mobile sharing model. The data-connected approach avoids the manual process of maintaining complex ranges of data within Excel, and enables further exploration of the data directly through the responsive charts.

IBCS Certified

Build reports fully compliant with International Business Communication Standards, enabling you to create consistent designs for clear and meaningful communication.

"You feel it immediately when using [FluenceXL]: This is software made by finance people for finance people. Excel reporting 100% compliant with IBCS."

Additional Visualization Components

FluenceXL introduces a number of charting and visualisation components to address gaps in native Excel.

In-cell charts

In-cell charts display within an individual Excel cell, and can be highly effective as part of a data table to show historical context, show relative volumes, actual to target, distribution or to flag issues. Easy to use and highly configurable they are a great addition to business reporting which require very little screen real estate.

Template Tables

Table templates allow users to build pixel-perfect highly formatted tables quickly and easily, removing the need for time-consuming manual formatting and promoting standardized best practice reporting.

Dynamics chart

Dynamic charts connect directly to the data source and are highly interactive. Charts components can  be used as selection filters for other parts of the report, or for other charts. Charts can be zoomed, drilled into, or expanded to a Small Multiple view where each chart varies by one selection (e.g. one waterfall chart per business unit).

They can be used to quickly configure a pre-determined view of the data in formal reports and dashboards, or for interactive data discovery.

Users face two common layout challenges in complex Excel reports & dashboards:Firstly, handling row dynamic elements within a formatted report, particularly where there is other content below the variable length section.Secondly, columns can only be one width for the whole worksheet, which can lead to layout challenges with different sections of the report.
