With 20 years in executive roles at Cognos, IBM and Applix, his vision for Fluence is informed by experience starting from the earliest days of corporate performance management (CPM) software. Michael successfully transformed Applix from an early stage vendor to market leader in three short years, leading to a 12x return for shareholders. His work ethic was honed holding down multiple jobs to finance both his college and law degrees; the same month he paid off his final student loan, Michael wrote a check for his eldest daughter’s college tuition.
Don advises Fluence’s executives and board on strategy and corporate governance matters, drawing on his proven executive track record at high-growth SaaS companies. As co-founder and CEO of Vena Solutions, Don led the startup’s growth to over 300 employees and 700 clients worldwide. Spending over 30 years as an executive in B2B software sales and marketing allowed him to shape his own style as a leader; one that champions empathy and the importance of EQ over IQ. Don’s ambitions extend to golf and music, building Wildfire from an idea to an award-winning Canadian golf course in less than three years, and signing with a record label as a young singer and guitarist.
John provides the product vision for our market-leading consolidation solutions and ensures Fluence delivers outstanding customer experiences. With 35 years in tech and 25 years in the corporate performance management (CPM) space, he’s been at the helm of over 300 software implementations for hundreds of thousands of end users. As CEO at Longview, John’s dedication to customer satisfaction resulted in an industry-leading retention rate of over 96%. His success is due in part to the belief that customers should be a member of your extended family, not just a business transaction. John is an avid runner and cyclist, completing over 100 road races and duathlons over the last four decades.
Like many of our customers, Christine leads a finance team to support overall business growth with timely, trusted and relevant data. As a finance executive and CPA for over 20 years, she also has firsthand experience with the challenges and frustrations of the month-end close process that have burdened CFOs and controllers for decades. Following finance leadership roles at high-growth companies including CoreView, OpenSpan and Pegasystems, she's now helping fellow CFOs solve those same challenges with Fluence. Christine's proudest career milestone was passing the CPA exam, a 2.5 day ordeal with months of preparation and weeks waiting for results in the mail. Today she enjoys checking off her "bucket list" of places to visit with her husband and son.
Craig leads product development for Fluence’s market-leading reporting software, powered by XLCubed since Fluence acquired the company in 2021. He authored the original version of XLCubed in 2002, providing finance teams with a unique combination of agile reporting, data integrity and connectivity. Craig's software development philosophy is focused on involving end users early and often to ensure new applications address the needs and pain points that matter most to those who use it. Craig’s first piece of programming was written in BASIC on a ZX Spectrum when he was 7 - it drew a face!
David leads Fluence's sales, marketing and channel teams to ensure global midmarket companies know there's a financial consolidation, close and reporting solution that's designed just for them. With more than 25 years’ experience, Dave has helped hundreds of customers find the corporate performance management (CPM), marketing automation and business intelligence (BI) solutions they need to be the best decision makers possible for their organizations. A 21-year veteran of the US Navy, David is a proud husband, father of three and a long-time supporter of The Arc, America's largest organization advocating for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Gary runs the FluenceXL operations team, ensuring our customers and partners have the resources and support they need to get the most value from Fluence’s market-leading reporting solution. Before Fluence acquired XLCubed in 2021, he was a driving force behind the company helping secure over 40 partners and 750 customers across six continents. A longtime expert in data visualization, he is a published author and frequent speaker on using information design and visualization to drive intelligent business decisions. Gary is an avid fan of Premier League football, a passion for the game he shares with his three sons.
Marisa leads global marketing and business development for Fluence. Leveraging 20 years of experience in SaaS and technology for the Office of Finance, Marisa stays fiercely focused on delivering experiences that educate and engage the finance community. When she’s not collaborating with her Fluence colleagues, Marisa can be found cheering on her two boys from the sidelines.
Sherry and her professional services team ensure our customers get the most benefit from Fluence's software - implementing solutions in weeks, not months. During her 25-year career in technology and financial services, she’s helped hundreds of clients in customer success and professional services capacities. Sherry believes client relationships based on trust and advocacy are the foundation for meaningful partnerships. Her ability to foster deeply committed work environments has resulted in high employee retention, morale and motivation to succeed - as a team and alongside the success of her customers. A true global citizen, Sherry has climbed a volcano in Bali, explored Icelandic ice caves and participated in the Maori Haka in New Zealand.
Kevin leads our solution engineering team to ensure future clients understand how Fluence helps solve their business pain points, and meet their finance and company-wide performance goals. Over the last 20 years, he’s provided finance and accounting solutions and enablement to over 1,000 customers. In previous roles as a sales leader, his ability to build world-class teams led directly to accelerated profitability and successful acquisitions by larger software organizations. Kevin has travelled extensively and cherishes the opportunity he’s had to live in cities across the globe, from New York to Singapore. These travels have shaped his outlook and provided him unique perspectives on different cultures, both in the business world and life in general.
Corey works closely with our partners, enabling them to deliver the best sales and implementation experience to customers across the globe. With a background in finance, he’s experienced firsthand the long days and lost weekends Fluence’s customers used to struggle with. He’s proud to have been a part of several forward-thinking product launches in his career, many of which are still serving clients over a decade later. Corey has worked in various capacities in corporate performance management (CPM) for over 25 years, building relationships with hundreds of customers and delivering on over 300 software implementations. If you pass by his home at Christmas or Halloween, it’s the one that elicits ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from all the kids in the neighbourhood.
Hervé developed the engine that powers Fluence’s software, already recognized as the best financial consolidation solution on the market. For 35 years, he’s directly helped nearly 1,000 customers across the globe improve their financial close and consolidation practices. Hervé designed and developed the financial consolidation engines for enterprise vendors including OutlookSoft, SAP and IBM, ensuring Fluence was built from the ground up to be the best, most modern solution - period. He’s always striving to make complex processes easier with solutions that are easy for customers to understand and adopt. Hervé holds a black belt in Judo, was a vice-champion of volleyball in France, and is part of the ‘Pied-Noirs’ (French nationals living in Algeria during French rule).
Piero has been driving the evolution of financial consolidation, reporting, budgeting and disclosure management software since the 1980s - ensuring his customers benefit from the most modern solutions on the market. He played a pivotal role in hundreds of successful implementations and product innovation at Hyperion (now Oracle) and OutlookSoft (now SAP), where he conceived and developed patented modules for the company's corporate performance management (CPM) solution. That commitment to evolution continued as a co-founder of Sturnis365, and now at Fluence after the company's 2022 acquisition. Piero holds an aerospace engineering degree, which he put to great use building an entire airplane himself.
Jérôme leads business development, marketing and partner relations to ensure growing EMEA companies appreciate the benefits of modern consolidation and reporting solutions. Over a 30-year career as a tech entrepreneur and business leader, he has worked with hundreds of customers including Volkswagen, Carrefour, Delta Lloyd and other world-renowned brands. Jérôme’s accomplishments include establishing the EMEA businesses of four North American companies. And his specialty is using technology to transform the cultural nuances that impact business conduct into new business acumen and value. Jérôme has a profound appreciation for music cinema literature and is a huge fan of the French football team.
Marco draws on decades of experience in the financial technology sector to help global companies address their evolving performance and disclosure management needs. He has over 30 years of experience in financial performance management as an analyst, owner and in product, services, pre- and post-sales roles. Marco has supported hundreds of global enterprise clients during his career, working with and establishing European businesses for pioneering consolidation and reporting vendors such as Hyperion (Oracle), OutlookSoft (SAP BPC) and Tagetik. As co-founder of Sturnis365, he helped drive product vision, scalability, ease of use and early customer adoption before Fluence acquired the company in 2022. Marco is passionate about ancient and medieval history, going beyond books and podcasts to experience it firsthand through trips he organizes to historically rich locations around the world.
Guy develops the products that differentiate Fluence from any other vendor in the consolidation software market – an easy-to-use solution for mid-market companies that provides robust functionality at a fair price. Throughout his 25-year career in professional services, pre-sales and account management, he’s helped hundreds of customers get more value from their technology investments, including Disney, Xerox, Lockheed Martin and Cirque du Soleil. Guy has a twin sister and married a twin, and he has two beautiful children - but not twins! He loves to cook for his family, especially grilling on an open fire using natural firewood. He’s also a CPA and PMP with a degree in accounting.
Bill leads the development and integration behind Fluence’s out-of-the-box consolidation, close and financial reporting solutions. His career spans over 30 years in corporate performance management (CPM), with senior roles at LEX2000, Cognos, IBM and MicroStrategy. In delivering finance and analytics software to thousands of global companies, Bill always takes his direction from the voice of his customers - and prides himself on giving team members the experience and opportunity to grow their careers in the software sector. Bill loves collaboration and creative pursuits, as a guitarist in local bands, an avid cook and homebrewer. He and his wife enjoy live music, the beach, and hosting large group dinners with family and friends.
